Television technology has evolved significantly over the years, with CRT TVs being replaced by modern flat-panel displays like LED and LCD. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs use liquid crystals and a fluorescent backlight to produce images, offering decent picture quality and energy efficiency. LED (Light Emitting Diode) TVs are actually a type of LCD that use LED backlighting instead of fluorescent, resulting in brighter images, better contrast, thinner designs, and lower power consumption. In general use, “television” is the broad term that includes all types of TV display technologies, including LED, LCD, OLED, and more. Among these, LED TVs have become the most popular due to their improved performance and affordability compared to older LCD models.
