“BASES” is the new project of Spanish pianist Willy Haroun, premiered on 30 August 2024 at the opening concert of the new season 2024/2025 in the Mozart-Saal of the Kultur- und Kongresszentrums Liederhalle in Stuttgart. After completing his classical and jazz training at some of Switzerland's most prestigious universities, Willy Haroun is launching a solo project in which he combines classical music with jazz and improvisation through personal arrangements and compositions inspired by the great masters. His sound, emotion, virtuosity, creativity and eclecticism are his personal trademark.
Willy Haroun seeks to interact with the music he performs and with the musicians and composers who inspire him, through a very personal interpretation based on a conscientious study of the original texts and their language. His repertoire is characterised by its eclecticism. It includes classical music, jazz with Latin American influences, contemporary music and popular music, as well as his own compositions and improvisations.
He is currently touring with his new project, “BASES”, giving regular concerts in Europe.
