Guests will have the opportunity to savor these handcrafted treats while Jeanne Donkoh, founder of Bioko Treats, shares the story behind her bean-to-bar chocolate company based in Accra, Ghana.
Jeanne will discuss the challenges of running an artisanal chocolate business in a country where cocoa is primarily exported as a raw material. She aims to highlight the importance of adding value locally by using traceable cocoa beans and incorporating Ghanaian flavors like cashews, tigernuts, and tropical fruits. Her journey reflects a commitment to proving that Ghanaian-made chocolates can meet international standards while supporting sustainable practices and local communities.
